Margot Des Alysés: A World of Her Own
22. децембар 2025.
| Miljana Momirović
Margot Des Alysés is a successful creative director, model, and stylist whose work has been featured in some of the world’s most renowned magazines. Her aesthetic moves fluidly from Italian neorealism to the French Nouvelle Vague, gracefully engaging with the modern world.
Her vision strikes a perfect balance between timeless elegance and contemporary sophistication. Her stories are deeply personal: she is both the protagonist and the architect of a world that extends beyond fashion into something more artistic and profound. She does everything on her own terms.
After last year’s Dolce & Gabbana Special, she returns to Marie Claire as the December cover star with a countryside shoot in which she effortlessly wears iconic FW25 luxury gowns. Every look speaks unmistakably of her.

Dear Margot, we are delighted to have you as our December digital cover star. What does Marie Claire represent to you?
I feel incredibly grateful to be living my dream, and I’m deeply honored to be on the December cover. Marie Claire is a magazine I’ve always loved, in so many ways.
It’s a legacy that spans decades and crosses borders worldwide, which makes this moment especially meaningful to me. Its aesthetic is instantly recognizable and always relevant, speaking directly to the present.
Tell us more about this cover shoot.
Together with Salvo Alibrio, who is my favorite photographer, I wanted to convey an image of contemporary Sicily—far from clichés, honest and rooted in the present.
We were supported by two extraordinary locations: Feudo Bauly and the MAT (Museo Antropologico di Testa dell’Acqua).

Feudo Bauly is a place where I dream of getting married—an enchanting estate surrounded by forest in the Val di Noto. The MAT, on the other hand, offers incredibly powerful scenery.
I’m always deeply grateful for the kindness people show when I organize projects—their politeness, generosity, and willingness to collaborate as a team.

How do you balance your work and your personal life?
Our loved ones are undoubtedly the most important thing, but work also deserves a central place in our lives. It can’t be everything, yet it’s essential.
For me, work is life and fire—being on set and shooting makes me happiest. At the same time, it coexists with balance: long walks, contact with nature, and moments of rest.

You are very reserved and rarely seen on red carpets or at events. Why is that?
I deliberately avoid worldliness. I don’t enjoy parties or nightlife, and I don’t feel the need to overshare or exaggerate. I believe in the magic of subtraction.
I will never share my private life online, and I won’t attend film festivals unless I’m directly involved—only when it’s strictly necessary.

We live at an incredibly fast pace today. Has this ever affected your mood?
I’ve experienced burnout, which is unfortunately common in modern society. When you’re under constant pressure and responsibility, nervousness inevitably follows—and that’s not healthy.
Finding ways to slow down is essential. It’s not easy when deadlines and major projects are involved, but it’s necessary.

Would you forgive someone?
I strongly believe in forgiveness.
If you truly care about someone, there is always room for clarification. I never deny dialogue—clarity is a sign of emotional maturity.

Your image has evolved over the years, and you look younger than ever.
Thank you. I’ve chosen to wear less and less makeup in my shoots to embrace a more authentic version of myself.
I don’t focus on age—mine or anyone else’s. Feeling good and being true to ourselves is what truly matters.
How do you see the people around you? And what would you do if they hurt you?
I choose to see the good in people—it’s part of who I am and always will be. Even when someone has hurt me, I try to find meaning and something positive in the experience.
Your zodiac sign is Libra. Are there other Libra women who inspire you?
I’m a Libra, like Brigitte Bardot, Monica Bellucci, and Nico (Christa Päffgen). They are my absolute icons. I feel deeply connected to them, in many ways and on many levels.

Who is your favorite filmmaker, and what is your favorite film?
My favorite film is Le Grand Bleu by Luc Besson. I love his imagery, his unique humor, and the way he builds his stories. I can’t wait to see Dracula.
If I were ever to act, I’d want it to be with him.
That said, I also deeply love Le Mépris by Jean-Luc Godard—I can see myself in his films too. Unfortunately, it’s too late. Sometimes I suffer from eramnesia.

Music plays a central role in your life. How did that begin?
Jeff Buckley has been my favorite artist of all time since I was 15, and he always will be. Discovering his music completely changed my life and the way I see the world.
I often listen to French music from the 60s and 70s—Françoise Hardy, Nino Ferrer, Serge Gainsbourg—but I’ve also rediscovered American rock bands like The Strokes, which I hadn’t listened to before.
Bob Dylan is my eternal idol, alongside Leonard Cohen—two immense poets and musicians. I couldn’t live without Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, The Stone Roses, The Velvet Underground, or Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Are you more introverted or extroverted?
Both. I’m a complex person—I can be very social and, at the same time, extremely shy. I am strong and delicate. Life is made of contrasts, and so are we.

Last question: what do you like to read?
French poetry. Charles Baudelaire—he is the man of my life. Not only Les Fleurs du Mal, but everything he wrote is unparalleled, and I love him deeply.
I truly encourage people to read more poetry and bring it into everyday life. We need more of it.
